FUNDA have a strict policy regarding the use of mobile phones and cameras, which has been formulated to safeguard children. The policy applies to staff members, parents and other visitors to the setting.

We often take photographs/videos of our children and venues in action to aid in the recording of children’s learning and development, and to be used for promotional purposes.

The photos are generally used to upload onto the children’s online learning journals using our secure FUNDA app. No photos will be taken of a child if consent has not been gained from the parents first (contained within the FUNDA registration form).

Under no circumstances will these photographs be circulated outside FUNDA, used for promotional purposes or posted on the website unless express permission is received in declaration from parents/carers beforehand. The consent documentation is contained at the point of booking.

FUNDA staff from time to time will also use mobile devices to use our secure sign in/out system. This is also used for attendance tracking, communicating with parents and in the case of an emergency.

Under no circumstances should children use mobile devices from entering the setting to leaving the setting. Children using mobile devices within the setting will have parents contacted and be dismissed from camp in accordance with the Camera and Mobile Device Policy and the safeguarding policy, without refund or credit. FUNDA staff may also confiscate devices on site until the end of the session or until the child is collected.

FUNDA takes safeguarding of children, staff, and parents extremely seriously and therefore takes a strong stance on the use of mobile phones within a childcare setting.
